PALLMANN Parkettprofi is an accredited contractor programme built to raise the standard of wood floor installation, renovation and maintenance across the UK. It equips flooring professionals with structured training, direct technical support, and quality assurance, so every job you complete carries the confidence of a proven system behind it.

Accredited Training
Hands-on, structured training across three two-day events covering subfloor preparation, sanding, lacquering, oiling, care and maintenance, using the full PALLMANN system from abrasive to aftercare product. Theory and practice in equal measure.

Approved Parkettprofi contractors qualify for a PALLMANN system warranty, giving your clients added confidence and giving you a powerful differentiator when quoting. A two-year warranty is available for contractors who maintain records and complete ongoing professional development.

The Parkettprofi programme is built around three intensive 2-day events at UZIN UTZ Campus in Staffordshire. Each event builds on the last, combining focused theory with real, hands-on practical work. All events must be completed to achieve approved Parkettprofi status.

Day 1
Foundations & System Knowledge
- Course introduction, H&S and COSHH
- Dust management with PALLMANN Clean System
- PALLMANN product ranges and compatibility rules
- The 5-step workflow: inspection to maintenance
- Timber identification, moisture testing, site assessment
Day 2
Subfloor Preparation & Sanding
- Sanding objectives and correct grit progression
- Machine types: belt, edge and trio sanders
- Effective dust extraction techniques
- 4-hour practical sanding session on real floors
- Assessment: floor prepared to PALLMANN finishing standard

Repairs, Filling & Finishing Systems
- Board replacement, loose boards, gaps and squeaks
- PALLMANN PALL-X filler systems: resin and water-based
- Sawdust matching, drying times and sand-back techniques
- 3-hour practical: applying repairs on real floor conditions
Day 2
Sealing & Finishing
- Lacquers vs oils: pros, cons and the right application
- 1K vs 2K systems, sheen levels and slip resistance
- Coverage rates, product calculation, environmental factors
- 4-hour practical: roller, T-bar and avoiding visual defects

Day 1
Care, Maintenance & Customer Handover
- PALLMANN maintenance oils, refresher coats and cleaners
- Commercial vs domestic maintenance plans
- Care sheets, warranty handover, furniture return timing
- 3-hour practical: full maintenance and handover role-play
Day 2
Fault Finding, Business Practice & Final Assessment
- Diagnosing blistering, peeling, hazing, tannin bleed and more
- Estimating, quoting, job sheets and complaint handling
- 3-hour final practical assessment across all competencies
- Achieving approved PALLMANN Parkettprofi status
The path to
Parkettprofi
Parkettprofi status isn't handed out, it's earned. The programme requires commitment from both operational staff and management, and ongoing professional development to retain the title year on year. Here's what the journey looks like.
- Complete the 5-step training
Attend all three events at an authorised UZIN UTZ Campus training centre. Both operational and managerial representatives must attend and earn their certificates.
- Provide three client references
Submit three written references from clients that verify completed projects and the quality of your work, real jobs, real results.
- Complete a development review
Within 12 months of finishing the training, attend a professional development course and review session. Pass it, and PALLMANN will formally award you Parkettprofi contractor status.
- Stay sharp every year
To retain approved status, complete a professional development course and review session successfully every 12 months. Standards matter, that's the point.
Conditions of Membership

Use PALLMANN products in accordance with the Parkettprofi 5-Steps guidelines and Good for Wood system protocols.

Keep detailed records of all site conditions, moisture readings, temperature, invoice and job completion forms, for a minimum of 12 months.

To qualify for the two-year system warranty, maintain site condition records for 24 months and successfully complete the relevant professional development modules.

Agree to PALLMANN auditing up to two randomly selected job sites per year to ensure all work meets the required standard.
